Dubai international Airport
Dubai international airport is the largest airport in the Middle East. Since the country is gaining popularity in the recent 15 years it was really hard for one terminal to handle all the air traffic and this is why 2 more additional were built. The first one is the main terminal and it is used mainly by the biggest airlines and flights. The second one is serving only the regional low-cost flights and Terminal 3 mainly by Emirates. Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are connected to each other with the help of airside while Terminal 2 is located at the other end of the airport. Terminal 1 and 3 can be used as models of what a modern airport should look like. There are shuttle buses on every 30 minutes. If you have to go from one terminal to other one good option you can take, except the bus is a taxi ride. It won’t take you more than 30 minutes and the prices are not as high as in most European countries, especially if you catch a taxi from the airport.
Once you are on the airport you should take advantage of the duty free shopping but you should have in mind that the prices there are if not equal then higher than the prices of the goods you can find in most malls in Dubai. Next thing you should know if you want to buy an alcohol is that the quantity should not exceed 4 liters. Basically the airport security is really tight so you don’t have to worry about pickpockets and other criminal activities that you may have witnessed on other airports all over the world. It’s like you are into an entire different world. This is the most important stuff you should know about Dubai airport before visiting it.
